The xTool M2 IR | 3W is a compact, fully enclosed laser engraving solution equipped with a 3W 1064nm infrared laser module, designed primarily for detailed engraving on metals, anodized aluminum, and certain plastics. The infrared wavelength is particularly suited for materials that are difficult to process with conventional blue diode lasers, making it ideal for personalized metal tags, jewelry, tumblers, tools, and other metal products.

The M2 features a 412.5 × 310 mm processing area when equipped with the 3W IR module and can reach processing speeds of up to 600 mm/s. Its dual-camera system enables convenient camera-based positioning, while automatic focusing and a motion accuracy of 0.01 mm help produce precise engraving results.

The M2 is also designed for cylindrical engraving with compatible rotary accessories, supporting objects from 0–100 mm in diameter without requiring a riser base. The machine is classified as a Class 1 laser device and includes safety features such as an enclosed laser-filtering lid, tilt detection, and lid-open safety stop.
