The Journey Back to the Hook
Star’s crochet story is one of rediscovery. She first learned the craft in grade school during her HELE (Home Economics) class. After a long break, she picked it up briefly during the pandemic to make a Mochilla bag.
The real spark happened in August of last year. Preparing for actor Park Bogum’s fan meet, Star decided to crochet her own custom lightstick sleeve. That project reignited her passion, leading her to stitch cozy cardigans for herself and her son over the holidays.
Inspiration and Collaborative Design
Star finds her initial inspiration from talented online crochet artists, modifying their designs to add her own personal flair.
She also has a secret weapon in her creative process: her husband. As a fellow artist, he frequently offers design inputs and suggestions. This collaborative teamwork helps Star refine her pieces, making each final design uniquely meaningful.
