FAQ series: What is a Cricut and what can you do with it?

Aaah.. this is the most common question we get.  What is a Cricut?  Is it a printer?  A laminating machine?  What does it do?

The Cricut is a digital cutting machine.  It can cut shapes, images and various text fonts.  The software - Design Space - is cloud based and is exclusive to Cricut users only.  You need to be connected to the internet, log on to Design Space.. and cut away!

While other cutting machines can cut cardstock only up to a certain GSM thickness, the Cricut can cut leather, balsam wood and so much more! Check out this post by The Crafted Sparrow on the many, many items that the Cricut can cut.
